Home Prices Set Record in Colorado Springs, Denver
Home prices reached all-time highs in Colorado Springs in July, according to a report issued last week by California-based housing data tracker RealtyTrac. The report also showed that prices hit record levels in the Denver and Boulder markets, as well as seven other markets in other parts of the country. The median sales price reached $215,000 in the Pikes Peak region, or about $25,000 above the national median, which rose 2 percent to $189,500 in July. In compiling its report, RealtyTrac looked at the 161 largest metro areas in the US. While the three Colorado markets were among ten where prices reached record levels, Denver was also one of just four markets where first-half sales set a record.
